Exclusive Interview With Gentleman

Slam Entertainment Caught Up with Gentleman, He is a Music Producer. Checkout what He has to Say in His Interview Below:

Slam Ent: What is your name? Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an music producer ?

Gentleman: What’s going on my producer name is “Gentleman” most call me “G”, I spent my childhood in Houston ,Texas and my teen years and so forth in South Jersey. Both my parents were always playing music growing up, Superman[Father] still has a crazy collection of cassettes to this day since a child I’ve always asked “who is this?” and “what’s the name of this song?” ,he knows how passionate I am about music so he occasionally drops hidden jewels on me and I take it from there .

Also watching my uncles playing instruments and composing songs a lot growing up made producing an interest.. my mother grew up in the studio and so did I so I consider it a generational gift .

Slam Ent: How did you come up with your producer name?

Gentleman: Just being myself, occasionally people call me a Gentleman not even knowing it’s inked all over me . It is a name that can be respected, even if duplicated I would still be just as honored to share the name.

Slam Ent: Where do you usually gather inspiration?

Gentleman: Anywhere I am, my laptop is always at arms reach so it can go down anywhere sometimes we twist up, sit in the truck n work on beats…I might just do that today!

Slam Ent: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Gentleman: You can never have enough upgrades I would definitely like to add a subwoofer to my samson 5″ & 3″. My uncle who is also a producer has been telling me to get the machine for years so that would be a nice upgrade. When I’m not in the lab or in a partners studio I use their setup or my beats executive headphones.

Slam Ent: Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Gentleman: At the moment few mixtape placements like;

Coast2Coast Instrumentals pt. 79 & 81 ,

Ice - [Single] “Jersey2Cali” on Road2Riches Pt3 ,

Philadelphia’s own soultrist Sheena Grier’s project releasing in May ,

Hassan Haze just finished a song I produced called “Substance”, the official music video for it is currently in the works.

Other than that releasing my next beat tape “SO InstruMENTAL pt 5” and my second mobile app TG Instrumentals should be in the GooglePlay/ITunes market very soon.

Slam Ent: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Gentleman: The world is in a crucial state right now and I feel music can change that because not only can we relate to it but other than being a comic it’s one of the only platforms our culture has left to tell our story. I’m going to continue to perfect my craft and take it one day at a time. I thank you for having me on the site and everyone for their support because #wedoitforhiphop
