Exclusive Interview With Jason Achilles Mezilis

jason-achilles-mezilis

Slam Entertainment Caught Up with Jason Achilles Mezilis, He is a Musician From The United States. Checkout what He has to say in His Interview Below:

Slam Ent: What is your name? Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Jason Achilles Mezilis: Hello, thanks for having me. I grew up in Northern California…right down the street from the first Apple Computer headquarters. It used to be all orchards back then…probably has something to do with the name, eh? My father’s side of the family has the musically genetic lineage, so that part was most likely inevitable…could have been worse, I could have ended up a lawyer!

Slam Ent: How did you come up with your Stage name?

Jason Achilles Mezilis: Funny enough, everyone thinks my real name is a stage name…I wonder who the heck would come up with something that hard to remember? I honestly tried quite hard to come up with a “band” name…but it all sounded forced or disingenuous…so the long-ass stubborn Greek heritage won out.

Slam Ent: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration?

Jason Achilles Mezilis: Mostly from walking…my head gets lost, and the rhythm of my footsteps is what most commonly inspires new ideas and grooves. Or I’ll politely borrow from something in the musical lexicon…mutate that into a new beast…I think the kids these days call that “sampling” (ha). And of course there’s the odd musical jam now and again with a fantastic group of musicians, that can stir things up in a fun way.

Slam Ent: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Jason Achilles Mezilis: I recently partnered my studio space [Organic Audio Recorders] these past few months with a bud out here in Los Angeles, and we now literally have more gear than we have room to put it in. The studio space looks like an insanely well-stocked used-music emporium, between the old Neotek console, 16-track tape machine, piles of amplifiers, drums, old keyboards & pianos, etc. We definitely need an upgrade, so yeah that may be coming sooner than later. Pretty good problems to have, though.

Slam Ent: Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Jason Achilles Mezilis: Some fantastic ones, yes…but nothing I’m prepared to share details on, just yet. I promise good things 🙂

Slam Ent: What should fans look forward to in 2017?

Jason Achilles Mezilis: Tour dates beginning most likely end of January, into March…most likely western and southern US dates for that period, maybe another Pacific Northwest run as well. Certainly there will be new material released next year, I really enjoyed putting out my first vinyl release in 2016, it would be fantastic to have another full-length LP to follow that up with. And of course, those pending dates opening for Pink Floyd reunion tour…Roger Waters will be returning my calls any day now…

Slam Ent: How did you come up with your Stage name?

Natashia Brewer: Everyone calls me Tashia

Natashia Brewer: I get inspiration from anything:  a picture; a conversation; a thought; a commercial.  Anything can spark or inspire a song.

Slam Ent: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Natashia Brewer: Resonation Entertainment Group just released an EP titled The Infinite Love Project.  I wrote all the songs on the EP and had the opportunity to work with great producers, singers and music engineers for various cities and countries.  You will not be disappointed.

The Infinite Love Project was created to bring light to various issues like:  lack of self-love; lack of identity; lack of self-awareness; suicide; abuse (mental/physical/emotional).  The project was sparked by a near tragic event where my son’s friend was contemplating suicide.  This person felt lost, unloved, unappreciated, and unwanted.  They felt so low that they thought taking their life would solved everything.  Although I’ve never thought or considered committing suicide, their pain resonated with me and I knew they weren’t alone.  I created this project to bring awareness and show that love can fix most problems (if not all).  I created this project to get the message out to people struggling that things will work out, that thing will get better, that things may not be as they appear.  The message of the EP is love – all we need is love!   With love comes so many things like:  understanding, compassion, willingness to help, willingness to share, willingness to support, loyalty, willingness to uplift.  I can go on and on.  We as people would be in a better space if love was understood and shared more freely.

Slam Ent: Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Natashia Brewer: I am constantly working, creating new songs. I can’t discuss upcoming projects at this time.  However, I would like everyone to join the movement to give and receive love by purchasing the EP from iTunes or Google Play.  A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a charity whose mission aligns with the EP’s mission of love.  Just search for The Infinite Love Project – EP on either outlet.

Slam Ent: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

Natashia Brewer: In 2016, fans can look forward to hearing great inspirational music from Resonation Entertainment Group.

Exclusive Interview With CorePreme

CorePreme

Slam Entertainment Caught Up with CorePreme, He is a Songwriter & Rapper From the United States. Checkout what He has to say in His Interview Below:

Slam Ent: What is your name? Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

CorePreme: First, I want to thank you for allowing me to use your platform to showcase my artistry.

My name is Michael Corey Baugh but my stage name is CorePreme (pronounced CorePream)

I was homeless for the first few years of my life so I lived in every borough in New York City but I spent most of my time in Fort Green, Brooklyn and West Brighton, Staten Island. I love Brooklyn but I grew up In Shaolin aka Staten Island.

The first time I heard 2Pac rap, I knew almost immediately that I wanted to rap. His bravado and confidence was contagious and his message was passionate and driven. The message he chose to talk about, injustice and his frustration with the pace of change really appealed to me. Apparently, I wasn’t the only one considering he is still one of the best selling rappers of all-time. Not to mention the legendary Wu-tang Clan. Shout out the god GhostFace.

Slam Ent: How did you come up with your Stage name?

CorePreme: The name CorePreme came from a combination of sources. The “Core” means the center and “Preme” pronounced “Pream” is from the world “supreme” which means ultimate. The “Ultimate Center” which is where I come from in my soul when I rap. The name “Core” is also an abbreviation of “Hardcore” which is a name I got from a friend who is now deceased. He was a well-known gangster and he saw fit to bestow that title on me. Which I try not to live up to in a sense. During my childhood, I grew up In Fort Green, Brooklyn where the supreme team was well known. So in a way, I’m paying homage to Brooklyn at the same time.

Slam Ent: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration?

CorePreme: I find my greatest inspiration from injustice and frustration. Those elements motivate me to express myself instead of holding it inside. Anyone who knows me knows that I may appear arrogant to outsiders but quite the contrary in my personal life. Its like a gift to be surrounded by talented people from all walks of life and industries. I particularly love being around artists. You don’t have to be the most talented or marketable; just have a love for music and an ego that is not easily hurt and we are best friends. Let me repeat, “I love being around artists.”

Slam Ent: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

CorePreme: No immediate planned studio upgrades at this time. The studio I work with through www.SIMediaservices.com has state of the art equipment and very professional service. They make graphic tees, cd/dvd covers as well as provide professional photography, videography and audio production services. I go to them for everything, great resource. They use Pro Tools, Propellerhead Reason to make beats and a plethora of other equipment.

Slam Ent: Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

CorePreme: Yes, my newest mix tape is called “Its Heaven Then There’s Hell” it tells the story of mankind dealing with living in hell trying to make it to heaven. My slogan is “Which Side Are You On” which challenges my fans to choose a side. Too often I feel mankind is influenced by survival and never really takes a real position on issues of a spiritual nature. My music plays both sides of the fence but make no mistake about it, my side is to help people the best way I possibly can. Sometimes pain is the only way to get through to some people. Check it out at www.CorePreme.com and www.FaceBook.com/CorePremeTheRapper

Slam Ent: What should fans look forward to in 2016?

CorePreme: My fans should be on the look out for multiple new ventures I am getting involved with from Jhilburn, Herbalife to life coaching at www.MCBLifeCoaching.com as well as a non-profit organization I am starting called www.NewBornNation.org. I am working with different types of music to create new sounds. I’m sure my core fan base (pun intended) will be very impressed. There are so many great artists coming out of Staten Island and I want people to hear my borough. It’s about time.  Shout out to Lootcrative Music Group.
