Slam Entertainment Caught Up with Dough From Da Go, He is an Entrepreneur From The United States. Checkout what He has to say in His Interview Below:
Slam Ent: What made you decide to become an all around Entrepreneur?
Dough From Da Go: I grew up on 90’s hip hop, which can be considered the “Golden Era”, and during that time i watched the legends and greats develop acts, brand their own labels, start companies, invest and take the word “Mogul” to another level. So I’ve always been influenced to carry that same attitude over into what i aspire to do and make happen throughout my career and such forth.
Slam Ent: How did you come up with the “Stack Or Starve Brand”?
Dough From Da Go: Just wanted to create a platform for what started out as chicago artists, djs, producers and go getters, that ended up spilling into different markets. I was all about the lane, the movement and what independence stood for in the culture of the hip hop industry on a mainstream and independent level.
Slam Ent: What does it take create a successful brand?
Dough From Da Go: The right set up, definitely the right relationships and a lot of patience for starters. Overnight success can be a gift and a curse. Its all about longevity and finding ways to recreate yourself and your brand once you’ve garnered that success initially. Ive sat and watch some make the wrong move and get comfortable. Always approach things with hunger and you’ll never lose.
Slam Ent: What are you working on now?
Dough From Da Go: A series of things, I’m working on the Stack Or Starve Documentary thats going to detail the movement from its beginning stage until now. Also working on some music projects, a project titled “Mineral Water”, which is a project I’ve been working on for sometime now featuring some very dope mc’s and talented producers - real feel good music, a lot of dope concepts. Im also working on two more projects for the streets called “The Chicago Malitia” & “The Capone Era”. Creatively I’m launching my clothing line titled “Bag Language” it will be a huge success, because of the multiple designs and variety of merchandise were going to bring to the culture. Im looking forward to unleashing that heavy, there will be a mix tape to accompany it.
Slam Ent: Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Dough From Da Go: Breaking some new artists out of the city as well as alot of Dvd projects and we’re planning a tour for the summer and fall. Just staying busy all around the board and keeping the hustle strong. I am also working on a distribution deal thats going to secure the proper placement for an album i plan to release first quarter of 2017.
Slam Ent: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Dough From Da Go: A lot of great things. A lot of collaborations and a lot of unity amongst other grinders and hard workers. At the end of the day, i do this because i love it. And history is something i want to repeat over and over. Follow @DoughFromDaGo on all social media. DoughFromDaGo@Gmail.com
